Included in the list of book records are the type of record in each book or volume, the dates of the volume, and the volume number. In the Table of Contents below, the Adjutant General’s Office (AGO) volume number appears in parentheses in the series descriptions. The Adjutant General’s Office (AGO) of the War Department assigned the volume numbers shown in parentheses after the records came into its custody.
